Laying Down Offsets

To get long enough panels to create the sides of the oarling I had to do two scarfs. The finished pieces are around 18 feet.

Here I have the long panels lying on the ground and I am starting to use the offset numbers from the plans to create the lines to be cut. I used a long wooden batten to fair the lines. I had a little trouble at this point. I believe some of the plans offsets are not correct, but they faired out nicely with the batten.
